Entrained Meditation Practice

Many people aim to practice entrained meditation which in short is a very high level of meditation in which the body in effect is asleep, but the mind stays awake and level allowing you to reach a different level of conscious. The theory of entrained meditation relies on the belief that there is a third consciousness located outside of the two normal definitions of consciousness: conscious and unconscious.

This third consciousness is often considered to be reached during entrained meditation in which the mind stays awake and reads a third level of brain activity that is not disturbed by the wants or needs of the body, but simply works to find basic truths and wisdoms. The idea in entrained meditation is that without the bodily distractions or physical distractions of life that are normally present while you are conscious, you will be able to comprehend and understand larger truths in life.

There is some controversy surrounding entrained meditation since many people misunderstand that entrained meditation does not include the use of drugs. Many famous mediators claim that through extensive practice and focus training, you can reach the stage of entrained meditation solely through self-discipline. However, because some of these mediators are linked to recreational drugs some people think negatively of entrained meditation.

Other times, the state of the brain during entrained meditation is often compared to the state of a persons’ mind when they are heavily under the influence of drugs, which has also given this level of meditation a bad reputation. However, people believe that it is possible to truly gain mind over matter and perform dangerous tasks such as walking over hot coals through training that allows them to reach entrained meditation because they are able to function with this third conscious that is unbridled by the confines of human created barriers.
