Goals of Kriya Meditation
Paramahansa Yogananda introduced Kriya Yoga to the Western world in the 1920's. Kriya focuses is on the breathing in and out, sustaining the control of the breathe, maintaining it to reach a state of nirvana. Controling a person’s breathing is the gateway to their soul and mind. The three main parts of the Kria philosophy is breath, brain, and spine. Done over a period of time a person can reach the six stages of Kriya. The First Kriya is the start of the technique which a person progresses and moves on to the Second Kriya and so on.
What are the main goals of Kriya Yoga Meditation?
The goal like many other forms of meditation to reach a peaceful harmony with oneself and the world around them to enter a of consciousness. In basic terms when using Kriya meditation correctly a person is able to breathe and that air carries throughout the body up the spine and into the brain. This believe to increase knowledge power and generally create a better life.
There are three stages to this type of meditation which is life-force or control which is harmonizing the central nervous system by breathing, the transfer of energy which is when the breathe goes up the spine to the brain, and finally higher Kriyas which is a higher form of meditation that will be achieved to those who are very dedicated.
Kriya’s mediation goal is to quite the mind in order to open the soul to acquire peace and absolute harmony every single day.
