Types of Osho Meditation
There are seven different types of Osho mediation, each lasting a different number of minutes and consisting of a certain number of stages. The seven different types of this mind of meditation include Dynamic Meditation, Kundalini Meditation, Nataraj Meditation, Nadabrahma Meditation, Gourishankar Meditation, Mandala Meditation, and Whirling Meditation.
Dynamic meditation involves five individual stages and last for one hour. This type of meditation may be done by oneself of with others, which makes it much more powerful. The first step consists of chaotic breathing, the second releasing everything within, the third repeating a mantra, the fourth requires the meditator to freeze in the exact position they happen to be in, and the fifth being a celebration through dance.
Kundalini meditation consists of four stages and lasts for one hour as well, but this time three of the stages will involve music. In the first stage the meditator allows the body to shake, in the second stage the meditator begins to dance, allowing the body to move on it’s own. The third stage the individual is to be completely still with the eyes closed, and finally, in the fourth stage one is to lie down with the eyes closed and be still for 15 minutes.
In Nataraj meditation the meditator dances in three separate stages for a total of 65 minutes. In the first stage with the eyes closed, the second stage the meditator lies down and keeps still, and in the third begins to dance in celebration. This is perhaps one of the easier of the Osho meditations.
Nadabrahm is also three stages and last for one hour and consists of sitting and humming, with movement of the hands, and finally sitting still.
The other Osho meditations follow similar patterns to the ones explained here. All involve releasing energy from within in some fashion. These types of meditation are thought to be quite successful in forming a center of energy.
Mandala is also four stages and hour long consisting of running in place, sitting Indian style and rotate your body, lying down on your back with your eyes open rotating them back and forth, and finally laying still.
